Opmed.ai, an AI optimization platform for healthcare developed by Dr. Mor Brokman Meltzer, Prof. Baruch Barzel of Bar-Ilan University, and Avi Paz, has successfully raised $15M in Series A funding.

The platform focuses on enhancing the efficiency of operating room (OR) scheduling and resource allocation, significantly reducing wait times and potential complications for patients by optimizing healthcare operations. Opmed.ai not only expedites patient care but also offers substantial financial benefits to hospitals, with potential savings and gains over $1 million per OR annually.

The implementation of the system can be completed in just two to four weeks, and it has shown to improve OR utilization by up to 10%. Renana Ashkenazi of Grove Ventures praised the solution for addressing a complex issue with a unique, highly specialized approach that markedly outperforms alternatives.
