Support our student heroes
Give to our Emergency Campaign
Bar-Ilan University – the fastest growing and second largest in Israel, where everything is framed by Jewish Values, Jewish Tradition and Jewish Heritage, is under attack.
Over 20% of our students and faculty have served for more than 100 days (equivalent to a full semester). Since September, 3,000 of our students have or are currently activated, protecting the country.
Why and why now?
- Since the beginning of March, with exams about to start, the classes have been suspended.
- Missiles have fallen in close proximity to the campus damaging infrastructure. In the north, our communities are under constant attack.
- Shelters have been opened on the campus and emergency teams are on standby.
- We have mobilized online learning, expanded tutoring capacity and increased interventions to and for those already bearing the debilitating weight of trauma.
- With special permission, researchers go to labs to protect and ensure that research projects can be “on hold” until researchers can return to full capacity.
- Our model psych and trauma interventions, launched post October 7, have been expanded to respond to the overwhelming demand.
- Trauma Professors and clinicians are responding to the calls and providing leadership to other universities, teaching them how they can reach and care for those in crisis.
Thousands of Israelis who have been bearing up under unthinkable pressure, now face the cumulative social and financial impact, pushing some to the breaking point.
