  • Bar-Ilan was founded in 1955 and is located in Ramat-Gan in the Tel-Aviv metropolis
  • Canadian Friends of Bar-Ilan University was founded in the 1960’s and is dedicated to support and fundraise for the University
  • There are 10 faculties in the University:
    1. The Faculties of Jewish Studies
    2. The Azrieli Faculty of Medicine in the Galilee
    3. The Faculty of Law
    4. The Faculty of Social Sciences
    5. The Faculty of Exact Sciences
    6. The Alexander Kofkin Faculty of Engineering

  • Currently there are over 17,000 students attending the University.
  • Bar-Ilan University is the only University in Israel that set a goal of bringing in 100 scientists in the next 10 years and absorbing them as faculty.
