The Mission of
the Canadian Friends of Bar-Ilan University
The Canadian Friends of Bar-Ilan University (CFBIU), working in cooperation with the Global Development Office of Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel, seeks contributions at all levels of giving from individuals, families, foundations and businesses who embrace the university’s mission (unique among Israeli universities) to provide students with high-level educational experiences in an academic environment infused with Jewish values and a love of the State of Israel. Your support furthers the academic programs, research activities, and future growth of the university.

Message from our President
Canadians were integral to the founding of Bar-Ilan University and can take great pride that since its inception, Bar-Ilan has played a meaningful role in educating the scientists and scholars who have made, and continue to make, a significant mark on all aspects of Israel’s progress and growth. Through the remarkable work being carried out in the fields of exact and life sciences, business, law, and Jewish studies, the excellence achieved at Bar-Ilan University has led the way to help build, enrich, and secure a strong Israel.
We here in Canada can be proud of our numerous contributions. The Begin-Sadat (BESA) Center for Strategic Studies, The Dafna Izraeli Center for Gender & Women’s Studies, The Martin (Szusz) Land of Israel Studies Department, The Arnold and Leona Finkler Hall for Human Rights, The Norman and Johanne Sternthal Torat Eretz Yisrael Program, the Gabi and Louis Weisfeld School of Social Work, and the new Azrieli Faculty of Medicine are just a few of the many contributions that Canada has made to make Bar-Ilan the institution it is today.
You too can share this commitment to academic excellence and unite with Israel’s brightest and talented minds by joining me in supporting Bar-Ilan University. The Canadian Friends of Bar-Ilan University links you with the University. Through a variety of lectures, seminars, and conferences, the Canadian Friends of Bar-Ilan University will continue to help educate and enrich our community.
Looking forward to welcoming you to the Bar-Ilan family,
Canadian Friends of Bar-Ilan University
