Israeli Team Chosen to Lead EU Medical Nanotech Project

Wow! It has just been announced that our own Professor Rachela Popovtzer and her team have been selected, in a highly compeeative process, to lead a major European Union project to develop nanoparticles capable of tracking the effects of cell injection therapies.

This technology has the potential to speed cures for diseases as diverse as cancer, autism and eye disease.

Professor Popovtzer is a true star of Bar-Ilan. Recruited back to Israel to work in Engineering and Nanotechnology, she was part of our groundbreaking “Returning Scientists” program that fights the Israeli “brain drain” by bringing back outstanding researchers from international postdoctoral positions.
